According to the Public Relations Department of the Red Crescent Investment Company, the CEO of the Iranian Red Crescent Trading Company announced that this plan began on July 15, under the direct order of the President and the Secretary-General of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, and the Trading Company was entrusted with the responsibility of procuring the supplies.
Mohammad Hossein Molaei, outlining the details of these packages, explained that each food package was designed to cover the 72-hour needs of a family and includes 13 essential items such as rice, oil, canned food, tea, honey, and more.
Emphasizing that the procurement and distribution of this large volume of items was carried out in an unprecedentedly short time, he stated that so far, more than 80 percent of the packages have been delivered to provincial warehouses. Based on current estimates, the remaining packages will be procured and distributed by October 7.
The CEO highlighted that this initiative was supported comprehensively by the Red Crescent Investment Company, accompanied by multiple coordination meetings led by its CEO. Direct oversight of the procurement process in Etka stores accelerated supply and ensured the selection of high-quality goods, allowing food packages with higher standards to be delivered to the people.
According to Molaei, this measure reflects the Red Crescent’s commitment and operational readiness to serve the people in difficult conditions and unforeseen crises.
