In August, Navid Red Crescent Helicopter Services Company enhanced the operational capability and safety of its relief fleet by conducting a series of actions, including technical inspections, special maintenance operations, and planning for the overhaul of three helicopters. The company also participated in firefighting operations in various provinces

According to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Red Crescent Investment Company, the CEO of Navid Red Crescent Helicopter Services Company announced that during August, 500-hour and periodic inspections of Mil helicopters were carried out, and the repair and refurbishment of firefighting buckets were completed.

Ali Bahlouli further stated that the company’s helicopters were deployed in firefighting operations in the provinces of Ilam, Fars, Kohgiluyeh, and Lorestan.

He added that the process of national registration for three helicopters is currently underway, and plans and contracts have been finalized for the reconstruction of the Zanjan-based helicopter, which was damaged during a 12-day operation.

Emphasizing flight safety improvements, Bahlouli noted that with the launch of a technical parts support software, the company now has real-time and online monitoring of its fleet, significantly enhancing flight safety.

He also mentioned that in line with the company’s August planning, technical and flight retraining courses have begun for the personnel.

Concluding his remarks, the CEO emphasized that the company, benefiting from its air fleet and specialized personnel, serves as the operational arm of the Red Crescent Society — standing on the frontline of humanitarian relief during disasters and crises. With 108 hours of relief flights conducted for road accidents, mountain rescues, medical emergencies, and firefighting, the company has saved many lives across the country.
