Upgrading Relief Equipment: Red Crescent Trading Company to Modernize Uniforms and Search-and-Rescue Devices

In a strategic meeting between the Head of the Relief and Rescue Organization and the CEO of the Red Crescent Trading Company, a series of key decisions were made to strengthen the operational capabilities of relief teams. Centered on the company’s production and logistical capacities, the agreements include redesigning relief uniforms and ensuring the readiness and maintenance of search-and-rescue devices for critical and high-risk scenarios. The initiative aims to reinforce the continuity and precision of service delivery across relief operations

According to the Public Relations Office of the Red Crescent Investment Company, the meeting was held with the presence of the organization’s deputies and treasurer. The Red Crescent Trading Company, as the supporting and supply arm for relief operations, was assigned responsibility for redesigning operational uniforms. This redesign focuses on improving fabric quality, technical standards, and functional efficiency, enabling relief personnel to benefit from more specialized and durable clothing in challenging environments.

Additionally, the provision of seasonal uniforms—including winter and summer clothing—will be carried out by leveraging the company’s domestic production capacity. The plan also includes the renewed manufacturing of box pallets to enhance the organization and storage of relief supplies in warehouses.

Another topic addressed during the meeting was the repair and restoration status of search-and-rescue devices. These devices, previously upgraded and delivered by the Trading Company, are maintained in operational readiness for use during crises and specialized missions.

Furthermore, in line with directives from the President of the Red Crescent Society, the meeting reviewed the organization of human resources contracts in the relief and support services sectors, with the goal of accelerating improvements to staff employment conditions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a progress report was presented on the “Distribution Plan,” under which the production and distribution of one million food packages across various provinces will be fully completed by the end of November.
