According to the Public Relations Office of the Red Crescent Investment Company, the meeting between senior members of the Iraqi delegation and managers of Helal Textile Industries took place on Friday, November 7, 2025, focusing on the expansion of humanitarian and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Salah Al-Obaidi, Iraq’s Deputy Minister of Interior, praised the efficiency and capability of Helal Textile Industries, stating that the purpose of this visit was to closely observe the operational capacity and production processes of the Iranian Red Crescent Society and its affiliated industries.
He emphasized that the production standards of Helal Textile Industries are reliable and of high quality, which makes them valuable for Iraq’s healthcare, medical, and relief sectors. Al-Obaidi added that follow-up meetings would be held upon returning to Iraq to explore procurement and import opportunities, aiming to integrate Helal’s products into Iraq’s relief infrastructure.
Seyed Mousa Razavi, CEO of Helal Iran Textile Industries, noted that all relief products in the company are manufactured in-house — from raw materials to final goods. He explained that the daily production capacity for relief tents exceeds 1,000 units, while annual blanket production surpasses one million pieces.
Razavi reported that 40,000 sets of relief clothing have been produced in the past three months, with an additional 40,000 currently under production. He added that the company is also capable of manufacturing modular “Rob Hall” tents with adjustable lengths, as well as emergency rescue backpacks, which are now in development.
Highlighting the company’s modernization efforts, Razavi said that the spinning, weaving, sewing, and printing departments are being upgraded with advanced machinery and smart technologies. The goal, he added, is to complete full mechanization of production lines by the end of the year.
Currently, Helal Iran Textile Industries manufactures over 230 types of relief goods, meeting the needs of the Iranian Red Crescent Society while also engaging in negotiations with domestic and international partners for new collaborations.
Razavi also noted that the company is ready to supply Iraq with competitively priced products, offering more affordable options compared to producers in countries such as Pakistan, Turkey, and China.
Helal Textile Industries directly employs around 400 people and indirectly provides jobs for more than 1,000 others.
Referring to the company’s international contributions, Razavi recalled that following the 2008 China earthquake, Helal Iran Textile Industries, in cooperation with the Iranian Red Crescent, produced and delivered 70,000 relief tents to China within four weeks.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Iraqi delegation toured the production lines of Helal Iran Textile Industries and gained firsthand insight into the company’s relief product manufacturing process.
